Service Manager
Role core purpose: To oversee the delivery of chiller and HVAC service and
maintenance for commercial clients, ensuring operational excellence, technical quality,
and customer satisfaction. This hybrid position covers the Southeast & London region,
combining office-based work (Reading) with remote and site-based activity.

Operational Leadership
- Lead, mentor, develop and support service engineers and the service support team.
- Manage daily team activities, monitor job progress, and provide technical guidance
where required.
- Conduct regular welfare checks and ensure the team has the tools, information, and
training needed to succeed.
- Review engineer worksheets, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely feedback.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and high standards.
Customer & Contract Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for client requests, enquiries, and escalations.
- Validate, prepare, and submit repair and maintenance quotations promptly.
- Identify additional works from service reports and proactively issue quotations.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic site
meetings.
Performance & Financial Management
- Achieve branch revenue targets while maintaining margin expectations.
- Ensure all maintenance contract renewals are issued on time and priced appropriately.
- Manage resource planning and identify operational gaps or staffing needs.
- Drive continuous improvement and high performance across the region.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Ensure full compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and all company processes.
- Oversee all health and safety obligations, including risk assessments, POWRA
compliance, and safe working practices.
- Report, investigate, and follow up on accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
