Cool-Therm field engineers have been issued with iPads, dramatically speeding up service reports and improving communication flow across the business.
The service operation is now paperless, with huge benefits for the company and its customers.
The initiative began in the Wales office. The results were so impressive, that the company invested in iPads for all its engineers, based at its offices in Bristol and Reading.
"Our efficiency has been doubled as a result," says Ken Strong, managing director.
"In addition, the quality of field and service reports is now superb. Our previous system used manual written reports, which were laborious to compile and lacked any personal touch."
He added: "Our engineers love using the iPads. They are quick to use and enable them to file a report and get electronic sign-off from the client onsite, completing all formalities in real time!"
